Primary Appreciation Focus!

I have not posted for some time and I have missed sharing and writing. I am continuing to enjoy living in a state of Grateful Appreciation each day. As I reflect on this I am prompted to ask a question.

What is the one thing that is most important for me,  for us, to appreciate?

It is easy to breathe and focus the appreciation on the obvious. The beauty of the morning sun painting sparkles on the surface of the lake, the fragrance, feeling and taste of the warm cup of coffee in my hand, the love of my life sitting next to me……… Yes! Breathing, feeling and knowing appreciation with gratitude for things like this, easy and obvious, right?

So I spent some meditative time early this morning with my Angel and asked to be shown where the most important appreciation might be focused. At first I was a bit confused by what I was shown.

In my meditative state I saw myself standing in a room with my Angel, but nothing more. I asked again, “Reveal to me where the primary focus of my appreciation should be.” Once more I saw the same image of myself before my Angel. Then my Angel spoke, “I have shown you your focus……. And it is you. You must begin there, for it is from the full appreciation of the magnificent you that all else flows. Remember that you love others by first loving yourself! True Grateful Appreciation for all comes only after the full appreciation of you!!!”

I know that each individual on this planet is a unique combination of talents, abilities, ideas, gifts, and natural greatness that is needed by others. To make a real difference with our lives it is important to first appreciate ourselves. What I was told in my meditation was that I could make a huge, monumental difference just by doing the one thing I can do better than anyone else, and that is to appreciate me!!

“Just appreciate you,” my Angel said. “In everything you do, fully appreciate you and you will make a difference for all.”

So how do we do that? How might I more fully appreciate me?

  1. Erase whatever feeling or idea we may have that it is selfish or self centered to appreciate yourself. Remember put your oxygen mask on first or you might not be able to help others.
  1. Make a conscious decision to celebrate who you are with affirming “I am…….” statements. (See my blog titled “Appreciate your self!”)
  1. When appreciating others, or something in your life, draw that person or thing into the field of the energy of your self appreciation. See and feel the object of your appreciation being bathed in the love light that is you.
  1. Breathe in the appreciation for yourself and the “other” and then exhale and speak it out. For example, say to the person who helps you at the store, “I really appreciate you!”
  1. Anticipate the full enjoyment of the results! Watch with joy for the response of the people and things you encounter. There will be a visible difference that is noticeable.
  1. Celebrate the results with another layer of Grateful Appreciation!!!

This will make a huge difference in your family, your community and the world as you boldly appreciate the magnificent YOU!

With Grateful Appreciation,

Don

Thank you! I was cleaning out a backlog of emails and took time to read your recent posting. Definitely got me thinking. I am just returning from a personal trip which has left my spirit stained. In my attempt to understand the others I let their bile and negativity reach my spirit. Very powerful. I know if I remained there I would succumb. I am very grateful that I can detach myself from that environment and pray for their healing as well as my own. I have faith that I will be made whole again, and regret that the others will be locked in the vice of their own making. My greatest take aways from this time was a greater appreciation of the power of forgiveness and appreciating what is truly important.
